Lets look at some traits in the Bible.

Tonight we are going to focus on love.
1 Cor. 13(do not read) is a widely used scripture but there are Over 500 scripture using the word love.

The least we can do is try to love as a friend.
II. Love when others do not deserve it.
Luke 6:27-35 Love your enemy
When do you find it hard to love? What does God say?
III. Love God Above your spouse/relationship.
Matt 22:37 Love your God with all your heart, soul, mind.
Why is it important to love God more than your spouse/relationship?
Possible answer your behavior will be more dictated by God rather than your spouse. And if you aim to please God there is a greater chance you will please your spouse.
IV. Love in a way that your spouse feels loved.
How important is it for you to be loved in a way in which you feel loved?
Jn. 21:15-17 Jesus wanted Peter to show his love according to the way that Christ would feel loved.
Exercise: Have couples face each other and share to one another. (If spouse is not present then write down questions and do exercise at home.)
1. Things that you do that make me feel loved.
2. Things you can do to make me feel loved.
